So far this week has been all about Smile. As you know the Jazz festival is this weekend and someone had the bright idea of putting posters up and running clips at this year’s Detroit Jazz Festival. Now on the face of it, this is a good idea but we should have had it two or three weeks ago.
Normally we plan better than this but there are some things that have impeded our progress. So, at the last minute we’re running around try to get a poster designed, while getting prices from the printer.
Finally, we got someone to design the poster and a printer to turn it around in two days. Great, right? No. The problem was, the one person we needed to get on board first, the money man, wasn’t on board. So, no posters at the festival, but we will have clips from the documentary playing, so look for “When I Need to Smile” at a jazz festival near you.
